What is AxiaMetrics?
AxiaMetrics LLP was established to provide innovative ‘people’ solutions to business and organisations, based on the new science of axiology and the emerging technology developed around the Axia Profile.
Partner organisations recognise that the objectivity and accuracy of this profile put it in a category by itself, while its implementation has given them a significant competitive advantage.
Other assessments either only touch the surface or can be inappropriate, such as the more clinical psychological assessments. The Axia Profile is like a skilfully focused X-ray, next to the Polaroid-like assessments commonly used, such as personality assessments, based mostly on what people are willing to say about themselves (or the image which they’d prefer others to see), such as psychometric tests, eg 16PF, Belbin, Berkeley, Colour Works, Lominger, Myers Briggs MBTI and Thomas International. This information is then used to categorise individuals into a limited number of predefined standard groups, through blind corroboration and anecdote. This purports to indicate the individual’s ability to perform, based on these preset groups. Another type is 360-degree feedback: subjective and judgemental assessments, based on what others in the organisation are willing to say about you, your behaviours and how you view yourself. While providing a profile of behaviour and performance, this is neither scientific nor objective.
What is different about the Axia Profile?
The Axia Profile is accessible on line and takes only 15 minutes to complete. It is objective, unbiased and, unlike most other assessments, virtually impossible to crib for or to cheat.
Completion of the profile is straightforward and comprises ordering 18 statements relating to the world and 18 phrases pertaining to self. Respondents are not asked to describe themselves or their experience, so the Axia Profile is non-obtrusive and not subject to each respondent’s opinion. It is available in many languages (including pictography) and is supported by many years’ research. It reveals how an individual thinks and provides an insight, therefore, to that person’s real talent and potential.
The Axia Profile has already been used very successfully by a wide range of businesses and organisations for recruitment, professional development, team-building, succession-planning, leadership development, self-esteem-building, reducing absenteeism, work place stressors and also for relationship-building.
The results of the Axia Profile are derived from logical, mathematical norms, rather than being based on the values of any specific population or group. Consequently, it is not ‘a test’ to be passed or failed, with results having no bias with respect to sex, age, race, creed or any other sociocultural classification as confirmed by the major validation studies undertaken according to EEOC criteria.
From the Axia Profile, we have developed (in conjunction with our partners) outputs tailored to provide critical information specific to all areas of your organisation, from the board room to the shop floor.
